After starting KNIME you are presented with the choice of the workspace folder. The workspace folder is a folder on your machine where all your KNIME work will be saved. The workspace folder can be any folder, provided that you have writing permission on it and it is not used by any other application.
After selecting the workspace folder you will be presented with the Welcome page. The Welcome page offers a few useful links and hints if you are a first time user. Take the time to go over them and learn a few more things about KNIME Analytics Platform.
Exercise
- Create a new workspace for the exercises of this short course, something named for example “Course_Workspace” and then enter KNIME Analytics Platform.
